Dallas Maverick’s Season Analysis

The Mavericks have really impressed me this season, and have a breakout MVP candidate in Luka Doncic who last season won rookie of the year. He is averaging around 30 points per game and is close to averaging a triple double. The Mavericks have gotten off to a great start and look to be a playoff team this season. Last season the Mavs traded point guard Dennis Smith, Jr. and Courtney Lee for star power forward Kristaps Porzingis a seven foot three inch big man who has deep range and great defense. Two seasons ago Porzingis tore his ACL and he is in his first season playing since then. He has played slightly rusty, but I believe we are yet to see what the duo of Porzingis and Doncic can really do. The Mavs don’t really have a starting point guard, but with Doncic being a ball dominant player they honestly do not really need one. The Mavs have rebuilt the right way. I am really excited for this team.
