The Crossfit community has lost a saint. Jacob Morris placed 7th in the 16-17 year old division at the Crossfit Games in 2019. On December 12th, Jacob lost his battle at the age of 18 to a heart condition. He had a bicuspid aortic valve and his heart was enlarged. He was known in the Crossfit world for his bravery in everything he did. He pushed towards his goals while knowing that his heart wasn’t working right. He was a follower of Christ and his favorite verse was Colossians 3:23. It says “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” He was known for his dad jokes and awkwardness. Jacob went to Crossfit Waterside located in Orlando, Florida. They ask that all Crossfit boxes fit in Jacob’s last workout into their schedule. The workout is named Event 1 Morris. It is 50 wallballs, 40 calories on the skierg, 30 dumbbell snatches, 20 box jump overs and 15 bar muscle ups for time. Jacob is dearly missed by the Crossfit community and his family.
