On Sunday, January the 6th, Kobe Bryant, a professional basketball player who played for the Los Angeles Lakers passed away. He and eight other passengers in a helicopter crashed, and unfortunately there were no survivors. One  of the passengers included was his 13 year old daughter Gianna, and her best friend Alyssa Altobelli. The helicopter was roughly 2,400 feet in the air and surrounded by dense fog, which could have very well been the reason it went plummeting into the side of a mountain. The chopper crashed in Calabasas, 30 miles northwest of downtown LA. At 9:47 a.m . The first 911 call reporting the crash was made. Many fans are devastated and holding memorials for the 41 year old basketball legend, while his wife and three other daughters are currently in grief. Due to such unfortunate reporting and police work , his wife had to find out the information regarding her husband through the media outlet TMZ. Bryant made a huge impact on many people nationwide, and they are still mourning his death and plan to continue to do so. Everyone is sending prayers to the friends and family that has been effected by the crash.
