Military Base in Iraq Bombed

Josh Green, Reporter

On March 11th a American military base in Taji, Iraq was bombed at 7:35 p.m. This attack resulted in the death of two Americans and 1 British national, who were killed by the rockets shot into the base. Twelve other military personel were injured and are currently being attended too. There was a total of 18 rockets shot at the base, from a pickup truck, that had missle launchers on it. The United States government believes the attack to be from Iran, as another response for the drone striking of the highly respected general of the Iran government, Qasem Soleimani. One of the other reasons it is expected to be Iran, is because most terrorists do not have access to the weapons used in the attack. The United States responded with a counter attack, airstriking big militia targets in Irag and Syria. Many believe the troops active in Iraq may start a war and have protested for them to leave, but Trump’s administration has announced no plans to remove the 5000 current active troops in Iraq. New conflicts seem to arrive everyday and if peace talks are not reached soon, there may be a war on our hands.
